Import Pine

Bring a script you already have, check it compiles and save it.

Import Pine lets you start from a script you already have. Open it from the Import Pine item in the Lab sidebar.

  1. Paste the script into the Pine script box, or upload a .pine or .txt file. The size limit is 60 KB.
  2. The title fills in from your script. Edit it if you want a different name.
  3. Press Check compile. QuantLab checks the script and reports success, a list of errors or that the checker is unavailable.
  4. Press Save to My builds. If the checker was unavailable you can still save, and the build is marked as not checked.

Editing the text after a check clears the result, because the verdict belongs to the old text.

Import Pine checks that your script compiles and saves it. It does not draw the script on a chart by itself. Run it on TradingView, or rebuild it in the Lab with your own AI connected to get a version you can test on the workspace chart.

Once saved, an imported script lives beside your generated builds. You can iterate on it in the Lab, copy it or download it like any other build.
